Hi! MJ here— I am just beginning my journey as a professional artist. I use my struggles with chronic illness and disability to fuel my passion for art and creating a beautiful life despite many challenges. I am deeply inspired by nature, so my subjects often include animals, birds, landscapes, and plants. I paint mostly with oil and am inspired by Monet and the impressionist movement, but in practice I end up somewhere just between realism and impressionism.
